Wireless earbuds have become a popular trend in the world of communication, with almost every mobile phone brand introducing their own version. One tech entrepreneur, Danny Manu, has brought innovation to the earbud market with his unique invention.

Manu, a Ghanaian-British man, has developed earbuds that offer automatic translation for different languages. According to Keepthefaith, these earbuds can seamlessly translate over 40 languages in real-time.

Known as Click, this product is being hailed as “the world’s first truly wireless earphones” with live voice translation capabilities supporting 40 languages. The wireless Bluetooth headset pairs with a smartphone, and it automatically detects the language being spoken, providing a spoken translation within a sentence or two.

Since its inception under the Mymanu brand, this device has gained popularity across Europe, the United States, and Asia. Manu attributes his success to hard work and determination, as he faced challenges in accessing capital or venture funding due to being a Black entrepreneur in the UK.

To overcome these obstacles, Manu self-financed his business using personal savings, sales revenue, and funds raised from crowdfunding sites. He believes that if you truly believe in your product and ideas, you can convince others to believe in them too.

According to Keepthefaith, Manu successfully raised over $5,000,000 through crowdfunding websites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Manu adapted his business to produce personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety gear to support his community in Manchester.

Establishing Medybird, Manu supplied much-needed PPE to the BAME communities and local businesses in Manchester, shipping over 15 million units to countries in need. For aspiring entrepreneurs in the tech space, Manu advises focusing on successes and maintaining belief in oneself, as this can lead to real opportunitie
